The NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Incident Investigation is a one-day qualification developed jointly by NEBOSH and the HSE. It equips delegates with the skills and knowledge to investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, and recommend effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

No. This is a standalone qualification. While the NGC provides useful background knowledge, the Incident Investigation certificate is designed to be accessible to anyone with workplace experience.
Assessment is a practical exercise completed during the course day. You will investigate a simulated incident scenario, apply root cause analysis, and produce a brief investigation report.
The qualification was developed in partnership with the Health and Safety Executive. The HSE contributed practical investigation methodology and real-world case studies to ensure the course reflects current best practice.
