Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 15 March 2026

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern your use of the Serene Safety website and your purchase of training courses and consultancy services from Serene Safety.

By placing a booking or using our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

2. Training Course Bookings

2.1 Booking confirmation

A booking is confirmed once payment has been received in full or a valid purchase order has been accepted. You will receive a confirmation email with your booking details, delegate portal access, and any pre-course information.

2.2 Delegate substitutions

You may substitute a delegate at any time before the course start date at no additional cost. Please notify us by email with the replacement delegate's details.

2.3 Course materials

Course materials provided by Serene Safety or the awarding body (NEBOSH, IOSH) remain the intellectual property of the respective owner. Materials must not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without written permission.

2.4 Attendance and conduct

Delegates are expected to attend all scheduled sessions. Persistent absence may affect eligibility for assessment. We reserve the right to remove any delegate whose behaviour is disruptive or inappropriate.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

3.1 Cancellation by the delegate

  • More than 28 days before the course: Full refund, less a 10% administration fee.
  • 14 to 28 days before the course: 50% refund.
  • Less than 14 days before the course: No refund. A delegate substitution may be made at no charge.

3.2 Cancellation by Serene Safety

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to insufficient enrolment, tutor unavailability, or circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, you will be offered a full refund or a transfer to an alternative date at no extra cost.

3.3 How to request a cancellation

Cancellation requests must be made in writing by email to [email protected]. The cancellation date is the date we receive your email.

3.4 Refund processing

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 10 working days. Refunds paid by bank transfer may take an additional 3 to 5 working days to appear in your account.

4. Consultancy Services

4.1 Scope of work

Consultancy engagements are governed by a separate proposal or statement of work agreed in writing before the engagement begins. These terms apply in addition to any project-specific agreement.

4.2 Retained services

Retained consultancy contracts are invoiced monthly in advance. Either party may terminate a retained agreement with 30 days' written notice.

4.3 Liability

Our consultancy advice is provided in good faith based on our professional expertise and the information made available to us. While we take all reasonable care, ultimate responsibility for health and safety compliance remains with the client organisation as the duty holder under UK law.

5. Payments

5.1 Payment methods

We accept payment by debit card, credit card, PayPal, Klarna, and Pay by Bank. All online payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.

5.2 Prices

All prices are quoted in GBP and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice, but any price changes will not affect bookings already confirmed.

5.3 Corporate and group bookings

Payment terms for corporate and group bookings may be agreed separately. Standard terms are payment within 30 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
