The Health & Safety Award is a 3-day foundation-level course, while the General Certificate is a 10-day Level 3 NQF qualification. The Award provides a solid introduction to health and safety, whereas the General Certificate is a comprehensive professional qualification suitable for Health & Safety career roles.
While the Award covers some of the same fundamentals, it does not provide direct credit transfer to the NGC. However, completing the Award first gives you a strong foundation that makes the General Certificate more accessible.
The NEBOSH Health & Safety Award is assessed via an online examination. Your tutor will prepare you throughout the course and provide guidance on exam technique.
